Above the marshes, where the snow is melting, the blue herons ride the breeze gracefully flapping their wings. It is the most majestic sight. I live near the Tantramar Marsh. This is one of my favourite sights.
Blue herons symbolize peace, tranquility, balance, and being present in the moment. They teach us to be patient and wait for the right opportunity to act. These are the virtues that we can emulate.
The birds are painted in a minimalistic manner of Sumi-e style of Japanese ink wash painting. The silver adds to the elegance of birds creating a ballet in blue.
