Planting Hope Print

CA$ 89.00 CAD

Hope is quintessential to human existence. It is the force that gives us courage and fuels the desire to continue despite adversity. Sunflower seeds symbolize hope. Each sunflower seed becomes a plant and the blooms produce hundreds more seeds to continue the cycle. This is how it is with acts of kindness and giving hope to others.

The Story Behind

This is a print on acid free paper of the original painting, "Planting Hope'.

"Plant seeds of happiness, hope, success and love; it will all come back to you in abundance." - Steve Maraboli

It is in the most challenging circumstances, when we feel hopeless and are ready to give up, that we wish there was some external source, some divine presence to plant hope and breathe new life into our broken dreams.

How do you plant hope? When things don't work out the way you had hoped, it is natural to feel depressed. That's when you look for some external source of hope in the form of words of encouragement, some guidance to help you maintain the focus or some kind gestures to propel you in the right direction. You see in the painting two beings with wings of hope. They are planting the seeds of hope with their hands. The idea is that with our words and deeds we plant hope for others.

Planting hope does miracles. If we give hope to someone by some words of encouragement, it renews enthusiasm, it gives a sense of purpose and direction. So often when things go wrong, we lose hope and our sense of direction.

This mixed media painting was created in 2019 just before the pandemic. It is very appropriate at any moment in time. To create a better world, we must plant hope through small gestures of kindness and love.

In this painting the sunflower seeds symbolize hope, the hands symbolize hard work, and the couple looking at each other symbolize the joint efforts towards doing good. The vibrant colours convey the message of optimism and hope.

Knowing where one wants to go, setting the goal and focusing on it are important in order to succeed. If one can eliminate distractions and stay focused on a single goal, success is not hard to attain. Sometimes it takes a young six-year old to remind us of this. It is based on a true story.

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
