This print is a part of the series, “Lessons Learned from Six-year Olds”.

Shaela Hug portrays the unconditional love of a child.

Children are simple at heart and pure in spirit. They don’t have ulterior motives for showing their affection.

When I go to visit my six-year old granddaughter, Shaela, she comes running to greet me. As soon as she sees me, with a grin from ear to ear, and open arms she jumps up to give me a tight hug.

It is no ordinary hug, it is a full body hug. She wraps her arms and legs around me and pours her love in a deep embrace which lasts for several seconds. Her love is unconditional and pure.

It’s a divine experience! It is like soul satisfying music to my ears.
