Hay & Feed Company

This is an image of A. Amos Blacksmith shop and Hay and Feed Company located on Lorne Street, Sackville, NB between 1903 -1913.

The photograph was taken in winter. One can see men and a horse drawn sleigh in front of the store.

The Hay and Feed company created links between farmers and wider markets beyond Atlantic Canada to United States. The hay fed oxen and horses that worked in mining operations, lumber camps, and farms all along the eastern seaboard.

The Hay and Feed Company later became Atlantic Wholesalers.
