Sweetest Little Thing Donation

As an artist, it is important for me to support our local galleries, Struts and Owen's art galleries. They provide various programs for the community members of all ageas while giving much needed support to local artists. I feel fortunate that this fundraiser gives me a chance to share my art with the public and at the same time do a charitable act.

Every year I make a donation to the fundraiser, ‘Sweetest Little Thing’ held by Owen’s Art Gallery and Struts Gallery on February 14th. Traditionally the Owen’s Art Gallery holds a big fundraising gala with fun events, music, food, raffle and art auction.

This year, because of restrictions imposed due to the pandemic, this fundraising event will be held on line.

I made a donation of one of my black and white prints entitled, ‘A Deal is a Deal’ from the series, ‘Lessons Learned from Six-year Olds’.

All of the black and white prints in this series are based true incidents. They are square in format and black and white, because children are very simple minded and clear cut in expressing themselves. They say things how they see them.

This print is based on a delightful story of two of my grandchildren. The message of the story is that promises must be kept. Please click here to read this story.
